The apartments are generously proportioned with open, light-flooded spaces. We’ve used natural materials such as timber parquet flooring in living areas, and timber accessories in kitchens and bathrooms. Kitchens are matt grey, with oak handles, granite grey worktops and open shelving. Bathrooms are laid back white with herringbone tiling, timber shelving and a classic rainfall shower head.
Overlooking Central London to the north and Croydon and the hills of Surrey to the south, Upper Norwood is really unique in London – somewhere where you have far reaching views and a sense of space. Crystal Palace has a wonderful collection of independent shops and cafés, plus some of the bigger names, and there are excellent transport links into Central London and Croydon.
Clad in a high quality brick, with a soft, organic colour palette, the five blocks have been designed to sit quietly among the existing homes and natural surroundings. Each new building is of modest proportions, with fewer than 20 homes per block, so there’s an intimate and friendly feel, and the sloped setting offers great views. The meandering paths, trees and greenery make this community feel really peaceful and close to nature.
A collection of five new buildings are dotted across the leafy Sylvan Hill community in Upper Norwood.
